Product Description

Diethyl phthalate is formed by the esterification of phthalic anhydride and ethanol catalysed by concentrated sulphuric acid, and the resulting diethyl phthalate and water are used as plasticisers, solvents, lubricants, perfumes, foaming agents for flotation of non-ferrous or rare metal mines, gas chromatography fixatives, alcohol denaturants, spray pesticides and other industries.

This product is a solvent and a plasticiser. It has strong plasticising ability and is soluble with many kinds of cellulose resin, rubber and vinyl resin, with good film-forming, adhesion and waterproofing properties. Often used with diethyl phthalate, mainly used in acetate film, varnish, cellophane and moulding powder.
It is also used as plasticiser for nitrile rubber, with good cold resistance. This product can also be used as a component and solvent of anti-mosquito oil.
